Trioxane

(Redirected from 1,3,5-trioxane)

Trioxane or occasionally trioxymethylene (C3H6O3) is a cyclic trimer of formaldehyde. 1,3,5-trioxane, when compressed into solid bars, is used by the military and outdoorsmen as a cooking fuel.

The isomer 1,2,4-trioxane occurs naturally in some plants.
